Foggy morning and more rain to come

I woke up earlier than normal I believe it was because Jesus was talking to me.

“Jesus woke me up this morning to say this. We have to be honest with ourselves and others. What does that mean? We have to stop thinking one thing and saying something else because we are afraid we will upset someone. Jesus wants us to be honest to a fault. We have to be honest with ourselves first, then we have to be honest with all that we are around. We go against His will if we try to put on a Good face for others by not telling them what we really feel. 

To be Politically correct is being a fraud, which is being a liar. No really think about that for a moment, what does that make all of our politicians and public leaders, it makes them liars and even worse in the eyes of Jesus. We have to be honest not only with ourselves and with God we have to be honest with all that are around us.

And with that said, this country is in a bad place in the eyes of God.”

I do believe that this is the only way we should be in life, honest to a fault. 

Yesterday I raked a lot of leaves and bagged them. The fence guys were here and got most of the fence done before the rain started. They still have the drive through gate to install then the guys can have the run of the place. 

I did not weigh this morning due to not wanting to wake Linda. It is not going to hurt not weighing this one time. I did eat fairly good yesterday so I am not that worried. 

Today being rainy we are planning to go to Wednesday Church services, then if it is not raining too bad I am going to my sisters to get a haircut.

Cloudy and warm for this time of year

It is cloudy and warm and I am raking and bagging more leaves. 

My weight was down this morning by about a pound and a half. I believe it was mostly the sweating I did yesterday raking and bagging leaves. It sure was not my eating yesterday. My wife and I was both busy so we decided to go out for steak night and the Home Plate. We both had the rib eye steaks, and I got a baked potato and okra. I did not eat it all and we both have enough for another meal each in take home. 

Here I am raking leaves and spring is trying to spring forth with new growth and new life. We are expecting more rain starting tonight and they say we are in for another round of flooding. They also say that we are expected to see another 5 inches or more of rain. The creeks, rivers, and lakes are already full and over flowing. Thank goodness we leave on the top of the hill. 

Not much left to say I do need to get back to my raking and bagging. 

I am tired, and it was a beautiful day.

Today was very beautiful and I got some work done in the yard. I raked and bagged leaves that should have been done in the late fall and winter but we were not here that early. I bagged 6 big yard bags of leaves which really does not even get me started good, I would say there are more than likely about another 30 or 40 bags to be bagged. Also the fence guys were here and started doing the fence. About all was done there was the corner post. And the Tuff Shed guy was here and fixed our doors, they could not be opened this morning. 

My weight this morning was up to 194, and I am the fault for that, I over did it last couple of weeks with way too many sweets. I will get it back down but it will take some time.

Linda is still having problems getting well, it has me worried. 

Again I am very tired and I am going to shower and take an Advil and go to bed early. Before it starts raining tomorrow I need to get more leaves bagged. 

With the weather getting warmer I sure wish they would get the fence in so we can go and get the scooters. So I can get out and ride to the trails and walk. 

Beautiful and sunny day for a change

It is cool this morning but the sun is shining. Yesterday was a very wet and stormy day. Linda was sick all day. And I am not sure how she is this morning. I believe she is not eating enough, and that she is just having a really hard time getting over the walking pneumonia. As for as me I have had a very bad week in the eating department. I have not been able to get out and walk and it has been so bad I have not even done much on the house. I have to get back on track and now. 

The fence guy did call and the hope is to get started on the fence Monday morning. I am hoping to be able to do some walking as I can tell even though my weight is holding I am going to be in trouble very soon if I do not get back out and walk. 

I also want to get over and get my scooter, but I know due to the distance is it is best if we get both at the same time and that will not e until late March or early April.

So the plan is to get back on my eating and stop eating so much sugar. Sure I have to have some but not what I have been doing lately. 

Fogy morning and a rainy week

This week has been filled with things to do, places to be, and items to receive. We have had rain and flooding in the lower areas, not an issue here on top of the 1250 foot hill. Denzel has had surgery and will be going home this morning. I have been to the hospital to be with my sister while Denzel is being operated on. We have ordered and received most of what we need to get started with our scooters. They have been here to install the blinds on our windows, but 2 windows sets did not have the needed hardware so that will have to be done as soon as the hardware gets here.

The weather is looking like it will break enough they can install the fence come Monday, I am sure our guys will like that so they do not have to be on a leash anymore. We are slowly getting the house together and now we can get the Jeep in the garage. Still lots of boxed in the garage but we are slowly making progress. 

I was starting to do really good with my weight but went for Mexican Food Thursday night and now I am paying for that extra salt. It will come off it just will take time.

We are expecting storms today as the weather gets ready to give us a few really nice days. I hope you saw my previous blog where I show the pictures of my scooter all decked out.

It is raining

Woke up this morning to a flash flood warning. It just means that the low lands well below my home could be in trouble. At 1250 feet above sea level we are safe and it is fun to see the waterfalls that are created as water comes down the road ditch in front of the house. I also feel sorry for the trash men today as we are still unpacking and there is a lot to be picked up. 

Weight wise I am holding at 191.4, which does surprises me seeing I have not been that good at eating correctly, and I have not been doing my walks. I guess it is just that I am busy enough with the house and unpacking that I am burning enough off to make up for my eating. I would like to get back down to around 188 again and I will work on that more as the house is put together and I can make time to walk, and hopefully the weather allows me to. 

I am getting a little impatient at getting my scooter so I can explore the area. But with all of the rain and colder weather I know I would not be out riding much anyway. 

It is time to do some work around the house.
