Starting again
Well after a too long of a time not walking and letting my blood pressure go back up, I decided to get busy and start to walking again. I started walking on Monday with about 8K steps then on Tuesday I managed about 9K steps. Wednesday and Thursday I managed to go over my 10K steps each days. And my blood pressure has come back to normal and maybe a little better. But as expected my weight has gone up a pound or two, why is the normal, well I am tearing my muscles due to use so they hold on to water and fluids to help them repair. So I am hoping that over the long run that I will be apple to lose some weight.

Slowly make changes now that I am retired.
I have been playing with, troubleshooting, learning, and cussing
computers. For a very long time. My first computer was the TRS-80 way back in
and around 1980 or so. I think I have had more than my share of the Trash-80s.
That was when if you wanted to do anything with them you had to write your own
programs. Well I started by just copying in a program you could find in a book.
And this was before the internet as we know it. Then I would take a program
that I could find the code for and change the code to do other things. Then along
came the IBM PC, and I started going to computer flea markets and getting parts
and building my own computers or recreating computers. That was the fun days of
computers. Then I became crazy and decided to switch from being an Electronics
Technician, and turn myself into a software and computer troubleshooter and
support person. I never realized that I would be forever taking test and certifying
and recertifying and recertifying. And the expense of it all is crazy. I have
and still do, mess with MS windows, Linux, and now Apple IOS. When I was seeing
the big picture that I was getting to the end of the line with my career. I
joked with the ones that I worked with that I was going to ditch Microsoft and
get and IPhone and IPad. Well that has happened I now have both? But I also
still have windows 10 and one of the latest Linux distros, and even my wife has
an android phone and tablet. Now that I have the IPhone and the IPad and I see
how they work together so great, all I want to do is use them. The only thing I
do not have is a Mac. Well may someday that too will be in the cards who knows.
For now and for the foreseeable future we will have windows due to my wife’s
sewing machines, seems they only will talk to the windows systems.
But IOS is so simple and easy to use I am loving it.

Oh how we forget the true history
I have been called so many names because I do not believe
the way the extreme liberal Democrats do. And I will have to say that I also do
not believe the way the extreme conservative Republicans do. I have always said
that I am in the middle. I have conservative believes and liberal believes just
not to either extreme. As my dad once said that the two parties are becoming
farther a port and each is going the opposite way from where they started from.
If you have really read your history you will know that it was the Republicans
that voted to free the slaves and not the Democrats. And you would also know
that the civil war did not start because of slavery, because both the north and
south had slaves. The civil war was started due to the economics of the time.
The south was being frozen out of the prosperity that the north had. And the
north decided to use slavery as a means to freeze out the south even more. Also
you have to know that there were a lot of blacks that were slave owners and
also slave dealers. And at that time our government even had slaves working at
the Capital and the White House.
Oh how we want to forget our real history folks. And how our
education system has been the biggest cover up provider for our governments to
help us forget our true history.

I believe in Jesus Christ,
I believe in Jesus Christ, and I try to always find the good in a person. But I have to say that I struggle so much with finding the good in politicians. Why you may say, well there was a time in my life that I worked to see to it that certain politicians were safe and secure while there I was taking care of their communications. I saw just how corrupt that politicians are and can be. And I pray every day that God forgives me for the feelings that I have. And every day I pray that this country and the world comes to see just how corrupt that it really is. I know that most politicians start out to do their very best to do right by the people they represent, but the longer they stay at the job the more corruption they see and the more chances that they have at becoming corrupted. Only God knows how bad it really is. My prayer for this country and this world is that we all wake up and have our eyes opened to just how corrupt our government and our politicians really are.

We are all different
We are all different, that is what makes us human. While we
may not agree on some things it does not mean that we have to hate each other
it just means we are human.
I have my beliefs and others have theirs. Life goes on. I am
a follower of Jesus Christ. I believe in the teachings of the New Testament. I
also believe that for the most part that the Old Testament is a history of the
beginning. I also know that Jesus tells us to love everyone even our enemies.
Now I do not believe that means that we have to go to bed with our enemies or
that we have to believe the way that they do. I also believe we are all wired
differently, that you can take the way you wish. While I may not thing the way
you do or follow your life style that does not mean I hate you or that I do not
want to be around you. I just means that I am different than you. I also
believe in the separation of church and state. I do not believe that the church
should tell the state what it should do, as I believe that the state has no
rights telling the church or the people how to think or what religion to
believe in.
And for the ones that think differently you need to
understand our history. The Constitution says there will be a separation of
church and state did it because they did not like the fact that the Church of
England was also their government at that time. So the people of England were
being told by the government what to believe and what church they had to go to.
So our founding fathers set out to make it unconstitutional for the government
to tell the people what church to go to or what religion to believe it and that
is all that it means. So to end this, let me just say that I will not tell you
what you should believe and I respectfully request that you do not tell me what
I should believe, I am too old to change my ways now.

Keep Moving
I am going to lecture a little so please forgive me. I started my journey back the first of January 2011 an I was 280 pounds. And I lost down to 240 pounds by just watching what I ate and the amount I ate, mainly just cutting portion size down. Then I found fitbit and I started walking, and walking and walking. I over the next few years went down as low as 195. Then I had a life changer in my life, I retired, and I figured I did not need to do the regular walks because I was working in the yard, and working to set the house up the way we always wanted it. But in doing so I more than slowly gained my weight back, and I did it without changing my diet and I was even eating less, and less over this last year and a half. But I gained my weight back to 240, well that is close enough. I have now started back walking and it is not all that much fun as if this time. I am so sore after walking. But I have to say that I am not that tired. I am not changing my diet anymore at least at this time. I do not want to lose back to 195 again. I do wish to get back to say 210.
The moral of this story is that we had to keep moving, working around the yard is great but for some reason it just was not enough for me to keep the weight off.
My plan for now is to walk 10K steps average 7 days a week. For me that will mean more than 10K for 6 days a week and at least 5K on Sundays. Ha we all have to have a day of rest.
So please do yourself a favor and walk or run at least 10K steps per day. And If you cannot walk due to health reason find yourself some form of exercise to keep your metabolism up.

Political Correctness is nothing more than lying to one and all.
First let me say that we have too much political correctness in the country. There are way too many afraid to say what they really mean. And I have to tell you that is lying and that is what politicians do all the time. It has gotten to the point that most politicians no long know what the truth is and have to keep notes so they remember what they told others so they can repeat it to them. I was in a special agency for part of my time in the Navy called WHCA, what we did was provide support for the president and the president' staff. I was around enough of the politicians to know just how big a liars they really were. I would be out on a campaign tour with the president and would here completely different speeches at each site to the point that you new he was lying to them then I came to realize that was just how politics was really played. If you were a politician then it was your job to say what ever you had to to get elected. It did not matter if that was what they believed or not. I have come to figure out that most politicians do not stay for anything other then their bottom line. They will say what every they have to to who ever they have to to get that pay off.
So now to my point I have come to realize that a politician will stand up in front of you and say what they think you want to hear but then that same politician will go to the next group in the next town and say something completely different because that is what that group wants to hear. And for the most part most of the people are so stupid that they believe it. And when someone finally comes a long and tells it how it is then the one of us who want to hear the truth just love it, but for the most part a lot or most will hate him for being honest. I believe that is so because we have gotten so use to being told what we want to hear that we cannot except the truth.
Now I am going to say what I believe God whats us to say. God wants us to be honest, bluntly honest. Yes the truth hurts and most people do not want to be hurt. But I prefer the truth to being lied to. And yes there have been time that I have lied so not to hurt others but more than likely I lied to not hurt myself. And I have to say that is wrong so very wrong. Because if I am lying to anyone even myself I am also lying to God.
For now on I say honesty is the best policy, and yes I will hurt others and I will lose friends and family. But I have lied in the past to others and myself and I have lost friends and family that I so dearly love. To my family and to my children and grand-kids I say I love you all. To my friends I have to say most of you I love as I do my family.
So now to my point I have come to realize that a politician will stand up in front of you and say what they think you want to hear but then that same politician will go to the next group in the next town and say something completely different because that is what that group wants to hear. Some hard thought
I am going to say things that people do not want to hear. I served in the Navy from 1968 until 1977. I served while the Vietnam war was going on, but never went to Vietnam. I even being in the Navy I never served on board a ship. I did server from September 1973 until February 1977 with a very special agency, at least it was back then, call White House Communication Agency. I was stationed at Camp David Maryland, and served to take care of the Communication equipment that provided communication for Camp David and for most of the time that the President was at Camp I was on duty.
I was able to really see what the government and for most part politicians were really about. Most of what I realized was just how corrupt most politicians really are. But one of the other things that serving at Camp David did was to make me become a person that wanted to know so much more about real history and what was written in the text books and what we were told was history in school. I now love the Civil War history, the Revolutionary War history. And lately I have researched the World Wars and the wars and offensives up to the present. And what I have learned scares the hell out of me. And a long the way I have researched and learned what I can about Kennedy's Assassination and what I have now realized is just how really corrupt our government is.
As for as Vietnam is concerned that was a war we were in not because we had to defend our country or real to fight the communist, but it was a war to make big business and politicians rich. We lost 50,00 or more over there for nothing more than to make big businesses, and LBJ rich. If you do not believe me do your research. You can start by reading Roger Stone's book “The Man that killed Kennedy: The Case against LBJ”, I believe it will open your eyes if you really want to know the truth and you are open to the real truth and not what we were told, by the Warren Commission. The Warren Commission's job from the very beginning was to right a script that matched what LBJ, the mafia, big oil, and the big defense companies what you to believe.
I think that we all know that Desert Storm was really about big oil in this country wanting to protect there company's bottom line. Yes Saddam did invade his neighbor and yes we did have a treaty to protect Kuwait. And Kuwait really did pay for a huge part of the cost to fight the war. But for me the real issue with that war was that it was never finished, just like in Korea and Vietnam we did not have the stomach to finish the job.
Now comes the issue with 9/11 and what happened after 9/11. I believe that if we had government agencies that worked together back then we would never have had 9/11. I also believe that the only reason that Bush JR went back in an attacked Saddam was to finish what daddy started and did not finish. Also I believe that Chaney used that war to make his company a huge profit. I also believe if we had not gone back in a removed Saddam we would not have the worse case that we have now over there. I also do not believe that we should have ever went in to Afghanistan, sure we needed to get the ones that planned 9/11, but we could have done that with out repeating the same mistakes that Russia had already made. Again I really believe that both wars this time was to make defense companies big money and for our military to have a chance to play with their toys. Yes we have made lots of new weapons to fight with and a lot of them do not put our military men and women in harms way that I guess is the only good thing to come out of this But folks look at how far in debt we are as a nation we will not pay it off in most of our life times.
We also have more corruption in our government than we can ever remove without completely remove each and every person that works within our government.
Why am I saying all of this I guess it is because I really saw this happening back in the mid 1970s when I was at WHCA and I refused to believe it and I stuck my head in the sand. And speaking of heads in the sand folks that is just what almost everyone in the nation has done, put their heads in the sand so they can not see what is really happening.
I guess while I am at it I should also say that we listen to the Media in this country and our Media is a joke and the real issue with our racism issues within this country. We would do ourselves a service if we all turned off the TV with the new in this country was on.
I know that most will never read this are take it seriously because they do not want to hear it or they will say as I have already been told what difference does it make we can do nothing about it. I say to you that if we really wanted to do something about it we could. It would not be easy and it would possibly mean we would have to start this country over again from the beginning by rewriting our history from the beginning with the USA of America version 2.
Think about it, it really needs to happen.
I was able to really see what the government and for most part politicians were really about. Most of what I realized was just how corrupt most politicians really are. My Dream list for the elections.
OK folks I am going to stick my neck out, this is what I am looking for in a President and in my congressman and senators. And yes it is a dream list even more than a wish list.
1.
Not a politician. (They are all liars and thieves.)
2.
Somewhere in the middle of the road.
3.
Someone that knows how and is willing to compromise
4.
Someone that will tell the lobbyist where the get off and will not be on the take.
5.
Someone that is for the People of the USA and not for themselves.
6.
Someone that will uphold the Constitution of the USA and its laws.
7.
Someone that will remove all of the BS laws and make the tax laws understandable for the normal people of the USA.
8.
Someone that will not bent to the BS of the Media.
9.
Someone that will stand up for the USA and at the same time understand the will of both the USA and other countries.
10.
Someone that will try their best to get this country out of debt.
11.
Some one that is will to put God back in the USA and the schools
12.
Someone that when it comes to charities is will to take care of the People of this country before giving our hard earned money to every other country.
13.
Someone that is willing to stand up for our Police and civil servants.
14.
Someone that the People of this country can be proud of.
I know there must be more and I invite you to add your own to the list.
What this country needs is to get its pride back. We are tired of being treated like no bodies in our own country.

The Stars and Bars and the USA Flag
I have to think my step daughter for this. I really do agree with what she is saying. They claim that the stars and bars is a flag of slavery but the USA flag is just as much a flag of slavery as the stars and bars.
Please read this completely through to fully understand what she is saying.

I am by no means a Southerner, and I don’t feel any particular affinity for the Confederate flag. However, recent events have led me to feel compelled to offer a rather simple defense for this flag, though it doesn’t hold any special meaning for me.
Ever since the Charleston shooting, the PC police have crawled out of the woodwork, and have derided the Southern battle standard as a purely racist symbol, and have demanded that it be removed from every public building in the South. There’s even a Facebook petition now that is calling for a national “burn the Confederate flag day.”
But what exactly are these people railing against? What makes this symbol so repulsive that it needs to be burned? Is it because it was flown by armies that defended a slave holding regime? Or because it was carried by supposed traitors? Or perhaps because it has been proudly displayed by white supremest organizations ever since?
Here’s the problem I have with people who froth at the mouth every time they see someone with this flag. If you’re going to burn the Confederate flag because you think it stands for racism and slavery, I suggest you get started on the American flag shortly thereafter.
If I recall correctly, and maybe my history is a little rusty so feel free to call me out on this, but didn’t the Union government accept slavery right up until the Civil War? Heck, there were plenty of Northern states that allowed slavery, which they abandoned in the early 19th century, largely for economic reasons rather than ethical concerns (and also because the British Army had liberated most of them during the Revolutionary War).
Even after the Civil War occurred, there were a few slave holding states that stayed in the Union such as Delaware, Missouri, Kentucky, and Maryland. There were even slave-owning officers in the Union army. There’s a reason why the Emancipation Proclamation only freed slaves in states that seceded. Lincoln didn’t want to anger many of his own officers, or cause any more states to leave.
And while we’re on the subject of Lincoln, let it be known that he could have cared less about the institution of Slavery. His main goal was to preserve the Union. Freeing the slaves was incidental in that process. He said so himself”
“My paramount object in this struggle is to save the Union, and is not either to save or destroy slavery.”
“If I could save the Union without freeing any slave I would do it, and if I could save it by freeing all the slaves I would do it; and if I could save it by freeing some and leaving others alone I would also do that.”
“I have no purpose, directly or indirectly, to interfere with the institution of slavery in the states where it exists. I believe I have no lawful right to do so, and I have no inclination to do so.”
And long after Lincoln was dead, the Federal government proved itself to be one of the most racist, genocidal, and imperialistic regimes in the history of the world, as they marched westward, brutally subjugating every native tribe they came across, before entering the 20th century as the world’s preeminent superpower. In this regard, the American flag is stained with more innocent blood than the Confederate flag ever was.
As for the notion that this flag is a treasonous banner, so is the American flag, a symbol that was born during the Revolutionary War.
And what of the fact that it was a symbol admired by white supremacists for decades? Well, there’s another flag that racists have often called their own.
Make no mistake though, I’m not suggesting you go out and burn the American flag. If you think that, then you’ve missed the point. All I’m saying, is that’s hypocritical to hate the Confederate flag if you love the American flag.
When it comes to symbols, and these flags are symbolic figures, is that they mean different things to different people. Everyone who waves the American flag sees something unique in it. They all see the America that they want to live in, and they disregard the awful actions that have been carried out in its name.
The Confederate flag is no different. While it has been and still is a symbol that is admired by racists, I would wager that there are more non-racist Southerners who carry it. For them, it’s simply an undeniable part of their heritage; a symbol that marks a bloody milestone in their history, which has set them apart from the rest of America.
So please, if you think that the Confederate flag is solely the domain of people like Dylann Roof, I implore you to think again. It’s just a symbol, and like all symbols, it means many different things, to many different people, and those meanings will continue to change in ways we can’t imagine, long after we’re all in the ground. Quit getting hung up on what this symbol originally stood for, and recognize what it means to people today.

The time is now to take our Country back.
I was raised in the Fundamental Baptist Church. The teaching was fire and brimstone. I was also raised in the late 1940s and through the 1960s in a some what racist time. Then I went into the Navy and was introduced to the real world of what it is like to live with individuals that were raised in a totally different environments and races. It opened my eyes to what the world was really like. I was taught in the Navy that you do not judge others by the color of their skin or their religious beliefs. I also served in a very political location that told me that politicians are not the most honest and trust worthy individuals. The Navy taught me that there is not bad races but there are bad individuals. As I get older I have come to understand that within every one of us are the seeds of being bad and that being good and doing what is right has to be taught to us from the time we are conceived. I have also come to understand that not all boys or girls are given the brains of the sex to match the bodies that they were given. And that has never been understand by humans from the beginning of time.
All that I am really trying to say is that we are all on this earth together and from the beginning of time we have not been able to get a long with out fighting. Wars have been around since the beginning of time. Why? I wish that I knew that answer, I just have to guess it is our human nature. I have to believe it is the fact that we were given the right to think for ourselves and to do what we wish. And also we as a human race seem to have a love and hate relationship with laws and rules, and it has been that way from the beginning of time. As long as the law or rule does not get go against what we want to do ourselves we love the rules but as soon as the rule or law gets in our way then it is a bad law, even if it is good for the location, state, or our nation. Lets face it we all are free spirits and we only want to limit the rights of other and not ourselves.
I believe in local rule at the local and state level. I believe that the federal government should be there to only uphold laws and rules that keep the states united and to provide over all protection and security. I do not believe the federal government should have the right to tell states or local areas how to believe or even how to teach their children. But I do except the fact that we need uniform levels that have to be met as for as read, math, and science. But The federal government does not have the right to tell the states or even the schools that they cannot have pray in the schools or that they cannot have the Ten Commandments displayed at the court houses and the state buildings. I also do not believe that the federal government has the right to tell me that I can not have a flag that represents a part of my history.
Our founding fathers wanted to see separation of religion and government only in the concept that the government was not able to tell the people what religion or church they had to be part of. Our founding fathers never meant for the federal government to condemn religion or prayer. Over the history of the USA we have as a people gotten lazy we no long vote for the person we as a whole vote for a party that may or may not really want the best for the people of this country. And in doing so we have let our federal, state, and local power go to career politicians that are not there for the people but to pad their on pockets. We have in effect given our country away to corporations and to foreigner countries. If we do not wake up we are not going to have a country left and we are going to be ruled by the likes of China, North Korea, Russia or even worse Iran.
We do not have that many real jobs left in this country and what jobs we have are not paying as much money as even 10 years ago. We are becoming a nation of pones and kings. We are a debtor nation we owe China more money than we can possibly repay.
When are we going to wake up and take or Nation back, and get rid of the career politicians. And get people that really want to represent us and are will to do so for a short amount of time then go back home to do their own business. We now have politicians ruling us that do not understand us or really live were we live. Also have you noticed how many politicians are so much more wealthy after a few years in serving us then the were before getting first elected. Have you ever really stop to think about how they got that money. It sure as hell was not on a government salary. They are bought and payed to vote the way corporations and foreign governments want them to. We have to put a stop to this.
And we have to do it NOW.

This is so true
Ok on light of recent chaos . How is it right? , for a generic group to behave badly , get called out on the ill mannered behavior, and its the offended public who is deemed wrong ?
In my opinion, if you behave badly, are ill tempered toward others, use foul/offensive language/actions, are destructive, or generally abusive; it is my/others duty to redirect you, ask you to leave, diffuse the situation as peaceably as possible, and if that doesn't work than report you to the authorities.
It isn't being racist, profiling, or prejudiced . It isn't because of your age, color, income, or education . It's because of your anti-social behavior.

How quickly things can change.
Wow how things can
change in so short of a time. This area of Texas and Texas as a whole
has been in a drought for years but this month of May Texas as a
whole has had enough rain to cover the whole state in just over 8
inches of water. The issue with all of this rain has been historical
floods that have killed so many people and destroyed hundreds of
homes across the state. We have seen lakes go from almost completely
empty to in some cases seeing their dams busted from so much water. I
was raised to understand that floods and lots of rain is followed by
droughts and droughts or followed by massive floods. But the rains
that we have had this month (May) has been so historical it is
unbelievable.
I ask everyone to
keep in mine the families of the ones that have lost family members
and also the families that have lost their homes.

Back after a long dry spell.
It has been a while
since I am posted here so I will try to catch up on things that have
been going on.
To start with I see
it as a sad state of affairs the way this country is being governed
and managed. And it starts at the top with or sorry excuse of a
President. I fully believe that he has accomplished what he set out
to do. That being to fully turn the black community against the
whites, and to over run this country with illegal aliens. He has
managed to turn the black communities into terrorist camps. And is
in the full process of taking this country a part from within.
I am also
disappointed in the fact that people no longer try to find to good in
others and only look for the bad. And it saddens me to thing that I
have even been drawn into this thing over the pass few weeks. It goes
against every thing that I believe in.
I know that my
grandma and mom must have turned over in their graves when they saw
what has happened to this country and world. It all started the day
that they took God out of our schools, and in doing so took all
standards of good and right and truth out of our country.
So I have made a
promise to myself and also to my friends that I will become a
stronger supported of my God and I will follow the Good Book and be
an up right person more so that I have been. I also promise to at
least try to find the brighter things in life. But I had to get the
dark side off my mine first. And that is what was said above.
I love my country
and I love the Veterans and the soldiers and sailors that defend her.
And I support and wish to help improve the care that our Vets get.
And yes God Bless
America is important. For when we take God and Jesus' beliefs out of
our daily life then we are all in for the hell that follows.
I know a lot do not
believe the way I do and that I can not help be I will be trying to
change.

My feelings and thinking where it comes to hearing aids
First off hearing
aids is not only an important health device but it is also a very
important personal device. We should think about out health first
foremost. Then we have to be concerned with what we can afford to pay
for the aids we need. If you are a Vet then I say try your best to
get into the VA system because it will save you a lot of money.
Always understand that aids will never give you you full hearing
back, it just will not happen, maybe in the future that will figure
out how to complete to restore our hearing. Also be welling to get
what ever extras you need with your aids to give you the best hearing
as possible. And last forget about what others think. I say you
should never care about what others think. This is about you and
about you being able to enjoy your life to the fullest possible. Yes
I know sticker shock is real when it comes to hearing aids, it is
also true for any think that has to do with health. Glasses are not
cheap nor are they something we can hide unless we go with contacts,
but most time contacts are not as good as glasses, and the same is
true for hearing aids CIC aids are not as good for most of us as BTE
or ITE aids that are larger and can been seen. I do believe in the
streamers or connect line extras that go with aids. I have not tried
aids that connect directly to the Iphone but I have researched them
and I know they consume the battery much faster and also you still
have to handle the phone to take a call due to there not being a mic
in the aids, maybe that will change in the future. With my streamer I
can be completely hands free, and the police in my area will not give
me trouble using my phone. The bottom line is that hearing aids are
very important if you have a hearing loss bad enough that you need
aids. It can mean you can not job so your career could be taken from
you. I for one waited to long to get aids and my hearing got to the
point that I could not understand speech to the point that it caused
me to be a very bad speller and also I made lots of mistakes when
dealing with my customers and co-works and even my family and
friends.
Please think about
this when you know you need aids. And before you up in with both feet
do your research and learn as much as you can about hearing aids, the
extras and learn as much as you can about your hearing loss. Be will
to get what you really need, but understand what you really need and
not to much more that you need and never except less than you need.

This needs to be said.
I am going to say
something that some are going to hate me for say, but the USA in a
lot a ways is at fault for what has happened in the Middle East. Why?
Because we have forced our ways and our beliefs on other countries
and other religions. We also have Politicians that on thing about
themselves and do not care about the ones that vote for them. Why?
This country has forgotten all about why this country was built upon
and why we battled with England. But over the years this country has
forgotten the real reason we are here.
I also have to say
that we spend way to much time and money trying to be the worlds
ruler and savor and we spend to little time and money taking care of
our own. Our Politicians are so worried about having as much power as
possible and trying to build as much money for themselves and are not
even trying to work for the people that put them there. The ones that
we put in congress no longer care enough about us to even protect us.
We have a President that is trying to give away this country to a
bunch of illegal immigrants even hen most of the people of this
country has said they do not want it to happen. But he keeps pushing
for it. Also when it comes to the battles that are going on in the
Middle East he keeps do as little as possible. He keeps going pushing
what he wants and not listening to the people of this country. He
also never seems to listen to the Military leaders. He seems to think
he is a king and does not have to be accountable to anyone or any
thing much less the Constitution of the USA.
The courts of this
country has gotten to the point that they could careless about what
is right or wrong. I have seen myself that lawyers for both sides of
the case will as much as stand up and lie to improve their view and
to win the case. Oh they do not out right lie they do it by very
smooth legal moves that covers up evidence. Whither you want to
believe it are not for the most all of the government in this country
is corrupt. That means federal, state, and local government.

Using the VA for my medical needs
I have been using the VA for medical since 2003, and received
my first hearing aids from the VA in I believe October of 2006. The VA has
always been great to me, but sometimes the service has been slow. I am now going
to the VA clinic in south Austin, Texas and it is a great new clinic with
everything you could ask for in one location. Everyone I have talked to, and
have seen for services are so wonderful. Yes I know it can take time to get
appointments, but that is also so true with going to any doctor here in the
Austin area.
If you are a Veteran I recommend you do your best to get into
the VA system, even if it is only for a backup of your primary health care.

What does my belief in the Bible and God mean to me?
The message in the
Bible is that we should do what is right for everyone in the world.
We should love our neighbor as we love ourselves. What does that
really mean? It means that we should treat others as we want the to
treat us. It also means that we should be truthful, and not lie. And
by not lying we should not cheat others. We should not be sleeping
around. I also believe that marriage is the joining of a man and a
woman as it is written in the Bible.
Now let me say this
there was a time in my life that I believed that being gay was a
choice and not something with in our nature, but now I do believe
that some of use are created different in sexual respects. I believe
that some how our brains and genes are miss wired so that we have no
choice.
But I still due to
my training and my belief in the Bible believe that marriage is the
joining of a man and women, and until I hear differently from a
higher being much higher than any human, I will never change my mind
on it.
I believe that the
most important things in live is that we love our neighbor as we love
ourselves, and that we do not lie, and we do not cheat anyone. But I
guess I am troubled about my belief that we should never say things
just to be politically correct, why because being politically correct
to our politicians means lying to us. Being truthful sometimes
meaning saying things that will hurt feels, but if it is truly the
truth then it is not lying and there for import to being truthful.
Then there are the
ones that say there cannot be a God because there is so much
suffering in the world. To that all I can say is that what does not
kill us makes us stronger. And when we have hard times we have a
chance to learn from it and to become wiser and stronger in
character. Also God gave us brains so we could think for ourselves,
which means we make our on choices. But if we read the Bible and
believe in the word then we will make the correct choices.
What is my beliefs
in the Church. Church is two sided sword. We are told that we are
much stronger in our beliefs when we are in groups of like believers,
but then we have the issue of Church making its own rules that in
lots of cases do not follow the Bible and the rules of God. And a lot
of organized Churches pick and choice what books and verses of the
Bible that they choice to follow and in lots of cases force upon the
followers. I also believe that there are some very important books of
the Bible that have been left out due to someone deciding that they
believe that they books are unimportant due to it going against their
beliefs.
So what I will be
doing is believing in a Higher power, much higher than any human. I
also believe in the rules of life, do not lie, and love our
neighbors. And most of all treat others as we want them to treat us.

I have a few things on my mind at this time.
First of all it has now been 4 months with my new aids and
my brain and my aids have had time to learn my hearing environment and I am no
longer changing the programs on my aids as much and for the most part I am only
using my default program. I do use the TV connect to watch TV and I use the Bluetooth
connection to use the cell phone and also the house phone. And when I taking
about it I use the music program when I am listening to music. When I am exercising
(mainly walking) I use the streamer to stream music to my aids but if I am at
the house I use my Bose headphones with my music program.
I still have lots of issues spelling words, I was taught to
sound out words so I could spell them, well that no longer works for me due to
the fact that my hearing is not the same and words no long sound the way they
should so my spelling is very bad.
I have now started going to the VA for my health care, and I
have seen a Dietitian, I need to lose some weight and have not been able to on
my own so I have gotten a base line calorie burn information and a diet plan. I
am increasing my protein and lowering my carbs. It seems to be working I am
down a pound this week and I only went to the Dietitian on Monday. I now weigh 235 and I am hoping to get down to
about 205 to 210.
I am thinking about something to do and I have several
things on my list, one is to set up a blog to maybe help others my age. I am
also hoping to figure out a way to help VETs in my area. I also have to get my
butt moving more and walk and ride my bike if I am going to lose the weight.

Folks I believe we need a big change in this Country.
If you follow the
Liberal way of thinking now downs (by the way I do not) then it is
not politically correct to say what you really think and believe in.
The liberals believe that you should never say anything to upset them
but it is only to put down any Conservative for our believes.
As for as me I was
raised on the farm and my granddad and my dad were Democrats and was
so upset with me after in went in the Navy then came home due to my
Conservative believes. As for as I am concerned I am neither Democrat
nor Republican, I am some where in between. I have some very liberal
believes and some very conservative believes. Therefore I am do not
vote in any of the primaries because I do not wish to be labeled.
The only way I would vote in any of the primaries is if I could vote
in each of them to give my feelings on who I like on both sides. The
I would vote for the person that I really wanted on election day or
in some cases voting early.
But really and truly
our two party system is totally broken and the two parties needed to
be thrown to the dogs, and we need to be able to have a popular vote,
and at the same time we need to throw out the electoral college and
go with the popular vote. We also need to stop all of the damn buying
of our elected officials by putting all of the lobbyist out of
business. Boy wouldn't that prevent some of these politicians from
getting rich. Because you know as well as I do that there is no way
that can get rich on what they get for government pay. Even if they
are not corrupt when they go in to congress they are before long and
you know as well as I do that is the only reason they stay in
congress as long as they do is because they are being paid off by the
lobbyist, and that is where they get rich. And it seems that we all
look the other way. I guess that I am so old now that I could give a
damn about hurting someones feelings, but I believe in saying what I
think.
I do not know about
you but I want someone to run this country that says what he really
thinks, and does what is needed for the people of this country. Which
means that person does not mind stepping on toes. And while I am at
it we have to stop sending our hard earned money to other countries
that do not give a damn about the USA other than the money they get
from us.
Folks I believe we
need a big change in this Country.

Just a few of my ramblings
I had a dream that I was standing in front of a joint
meeting of the Representatives and the Senators, and I was telling them what
was wrong not only with this Country but also the world. First and foremost the
issue is that we spend too much of our time and money working about the rest of
the world and not our own issues here in the USA. Second we have gotten to be a
country that only worse about the almighty dollar. I am not just talking about
the ones who represent us but most all of us. We also are too judgmental. We
look so much at what the other person is doing and judging them that we cannot
see our own issues. Also when it comes to our religious beliefs, we seem to
believe that we each believe is the only way. I am here to tell you that as
long as you believe in right and wrong you are believing correctly. Do I
believe in God? Yes, I believe there is a Higher Being. Do I believe that the
Christian Bible is the only true answer? No, the Bible has been given down to
us from our ancestors and it is the way that they believed and the way that
they were taught. But I do believe in Jesus, I do believe in the teachings of
Jesus. If we all believed in the concept that we do not steal, that we do not
take someone else life, and that we do not want what the other person has we would
be a much better world. This world has not changed over the history because we
as the people of the world have not learned from the past. I believe that we
all come from the original 12 tribes that is talked about in the Bible and I
also believe that we still fight because that was the way it was from the
beginning of time. And what has this fighting been all about. It has been all
about our religious beliefs, and also that we have always wanted power, and
what the other person has. That is so true today as it was then.
Also let me say that I believe in charity, but charity
starts at home. The USA sends too much money to other Countries because it
thinks that we can buy them off to be friends. This other countries could give
a damn about us all they want is the damn money folks. Also when it comes to
guns let me say I believe that we have the right to have and care guns, but I
do not believe that the general public has the right to own military weapons.
The AK47 and the like should be banned from public use and ownership.
We are all created equal under the law and under our God. We
have to stop looking down on others. But to go along with that I believe we
have to earn that right. Which to mean if you steal, rob, kill, rape our any
other crime you lose your rights. But I also believe that it is possible to
make a mistake as long as you learn from it and do not keep making it over and
over.
The color of a person’s skin should not be a reason to look
down on that person. Only the actions of that person deserves judgment and never
by a single person.
I have been asked what I would do if I was President. Well
that could never happen, first off what I see that needs to be done could never
be handled by a single person, it would have to be handled by all of the people
of this Country and world finally agreeing on what needs to be done. It would
mean that we never as a single person judge another single person. It would
mean that we finally agree to disagree, and that we look for a common point to compromise
on. It would also mean that we have to come to the point that everyone has
something to bring to the table. And that everyone has an equal vote. We have
to get to the point that money is not where the power is at. It has always been
that way and I really do not see that changing.

This is something I wish everyone believed in
Martin Luther King said it the correct way in his speech. That we all should be judged by the conduct of our character and not the color of our skin. I believe in that with all my heart. And I really believe that most do but there are still the ones that look only at the color of our skins.
I am adding this my step daughter posted this and I am reposting it to honor her and to honor the world as it should be.
Re-post . Martin Luther King Jr said in his speech . We should judge people on their character not their skin color .....
I try to do this.
I see your actions and words above your skin . I will notice your Bad behavior and a negative attitude, which makes you less; regardless of your skin color, nationality, or religion..
Mind and heart makes the person.
Too many use their skin to excuse negative actions or preceptions towards others.
Exercise your mind , expand your heart , monitor your own actions AND create the person in yourself you want to fill the world with. BE THE EXAMPLE

Just something on my mind today
I was just watching
TV and my brain was wondering, then all of a sudden this came to me.
There is nothing more important in life than our health. But what is
health? Being healthy is something we all want but do we really do
not know what it means to be healthy or how to truly be healthy.
I sure do not, and I
have not really found a doctor that knows how either. Most doctors
just want to push pills of kind down you. And the health industry
does not really want anyone healthy because if we all were they
would be out of business. So what is healthy, the best we can do is
to eat correctly. But what really is eating correctly. Everyone you
ask will give you a different answer.
So what are we to
do? Use common sense and exercise, but exercise does not mean working
yourself to death and becoming so tired and so torn down that it
makes you sick.
Well life is a
balance of building yourself up and breaking yourself down. It is a
balancing act of what you eat, what you do for a living, the exercise
you get, and the faith you have, or what you really believe in.
Health has a lot to do with having a positive attitude on life. And
also health has a lot to do with the friends and relatives that you
have around you. Health is never helped if you are stressed by work,
or so called friends.
Life can be improved
by learning how to handle the stress in your life, eating the correct
foods for your life style and exercising enough to work your hearth
and body without stressing your body and mind. It is great to listen
to others, to read and research but it is very important to use
common sense.
I guess all that
this comes down to is that we all have to think for ourselves and to
do what is correct for ourselves. We all have to learn not to be
pressured into do what others believe we should do. The stress alone
would make us less healthy.
I know this is not
well organized but it is just what my brain has roaming around at
this time.

Where/how do we learn
While most everyone believes that their school/college they went/go to is their education, really your education comes to you when you finally know how to learn and you continue learning your whole life.

My morning thoughts.
When things are not going the way you think they should set down and take note on what you have been doing. Most of the time you will see what you have been do wrong. And if you find nothing wrong with what you have been doing then it is time to make a change and try something different.
Just something that came to me this morning while setting in the middle of the floor being loved my my little fury guys.

I saw the movie 'The Unbroken'
I went today and saw 'The Unbroken'. It is a great movie and what I found was that it did a great job of hitting the highlights of the book. If the movie covered the whole book I am guessing it would have had to be 10 to 15 hours long. Also the movie did a great job of showing what needed to be shown without the language that was in the book. I highly recommend to read the book then see the movie. You will be able to follow the movie much better.
Happy New Years.
What a wonderful weekend, and it is going to be a great week
this week. Over the weekend we finally had our family Christmas, or at least
Linda’s side of the family Christmas. Stephen cooked a wonderful Christmas meal
of Beef Wellington. And we gave out our gives. I was so blessed to be given a
wonderful Indy Jones that Stephen got me. And Linda got me a total surprise of
a new Bose headset. And for everyone it was a wonderful time. But today starts the needed chore of removing
the Christmas decorations and the chore for me to lose the 25 pounds or so of
extra weight that I added on over this last year. I am not sure why so much
weight I did keep good records of my eating and I stayed within my calorie
limits. I just believe that my body is changing and I now have to figure out
what changes I have to make to my diet and I also have to get more walking and
bike riding in.
Have a great year everyone and God Bless you all.
Oh yes this Year’s Bible Study is from Pocket bible’s One
Year of the Devotions for Men. So far it is great and I will learn a lot this
year.

Just finished reading the Unbroken
After reading 'The Unbroken' I believe that I now understand why my dad never talked about the war. He was in Okinawa, at the last part of the war and at the time the a-bombs were dropped. The only thing I got out of him was that the ship he was on was taking the marines to Okinawa then the ship was to return to the states. But as the last boat load of Marines were being off loaded on Okinawa, the boat that my dad was piloting, the ship that brought them over was torpedoed and my dad was stuck on island until after the war was over. I know that he was manning a large gun and got a shell dropped on the top of his foot and was never able to wear normal shoes after that. I also know he was on Okinawa when they were doing everything possible to get the Japanese out of the caves. And he was also there when they had to go to the caves to survive a Typhoon that hit the island but other than that he would never talk about what he saw or what he had to go through. Unbroken gave me a look into the war and the Japanese culture that I never new about. I did work for almost 12 years for a Japanese company and I came very good friends with some of the top Japanese managers and found them to be very hard working but also very fair. But they for the most part were very stand offish and did not talk much about their homeland. All that the one I made friends with would say is that they were ashamed of the way that the Japanese treated the POWs and they were very impressed in the way the Americans treated the Japanese POWs.
From reading the Unbroken I can at least have a very small understanding of what our Marines, and soldiers, and POWs are going through after they return home, and I for the first time have a very small understanding of what PTSD really is. I can now also finally forgive two of my close friends that was in the Vietnam war that came home and killed themselves must have been going through.
War is hell and I am so glad that I was spared from having to go into combat.

My New Years Resolution is very simple
I have to control my weight, but not 'DIET'. I have to enjoy what is left of my life to the fullest.
I will walk more and also ride my bike. I will pay attention to my wife more. I will read my Bible studies daily and I will enjoy my life.
